Do you do walk-ins?
No, we currently do not accept walk-ins based on the location of the clinic, the number of clientle and the number of therapist (one) it is not conducive to accept walk-ins.
Do you work on Saturdays?
Yes and No. It depends on the availability of the therapist, if an event or any prior obligation is not scheduled. Saturday availability will be posted on the upcoming events calender on our website. If you are interested in a Saturday appointment you must contact the therapist at (318) 597-1188 seventy-two to forty-eight hours prior to the upcoming Saturday so arrangements can be made to fit you into the schedule if possible.
What services do you offer and what are your prices?
Prices vary depending on the legnth of a session, the demands put an a therapist body, skill required, equipment and materals needed for a particulary modality. Prices and services can be viewed listed under rates on our website.
Do you sell gift cards?
Yes, we do sell gift cards and we offer you several options. You can call to set a time to come in and purchase gift cards. This is required because to just come in to purchase a gift card would be equivalent to a walk-in and we do not currently accept walk-ins (the therapist may be in a session). We also accept SpaWeek gift cards sold at Wal-Mart, Walgreens and CVS you can choose predetermined amounts or choose a card of which can decide the variable amount.
What types of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, all major credit/debit cards, and checks.
What are the directions to your office?
Hwy 1 South from Marksville direction: Once in Moreauville at traffic light, turn right at Union Bank onto Bayou Des Glaises go 0.5 miles, between Escudes Funeral Home and Sacred Heart Cemetary turn left onto Lemoine Steet, go 0.1 mile the first road to the right is Mayeaux Street, go 0.1 mile the clinic is the second building on the left at 254 Mayeux St.
Do you pop backs or do spinal adjustments?
No, spinal adjustments or deliberately "pop" backs are not services offered at Leaven Massage Therapy though sometimes your back may incidentally pop with a certain amount of pressure applied in a certain direction during soft tissue manipulation. Deliberate back "popping" is beyond a massage therapist's training and scope of practice. This is the skill of a doctor trained in chiropractic care.
Do you do facials/manicures/pedicures?
No, facials/manicures/pedicures are not a service offered at Leaven Massage Therapy. Face massages and some treatments for headaches that involve manipulation of tissues on and around the face can be a part of a massage therapy session. An actual facial is the skill of a trained esthetician. Hand massage is apart of a full body massage session or usually included in a session that involves specific treatment of an arm. Foot reflexology is a service we offer in which an epsom salt foot soak and parffin wax treatment; but the goal of these treatments are to clean and warm the feet in preparation to efficiently recieve the reflexology treatment, though it may feel like pampering.
Do you work on men?
Yes, all demographics are welcome at Leaven Massage Therapy. As a professional massage therapist trained to work on the musculoskeletal system, treatments are therapy focused. There is no bias or discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender expression, age, height, weight, physical or mental ability. We do reserve the right to refuse service to anyone but it will not be based on any of the afore mentioned.
